A leading global distributor of industrial and specialty chemicals was re-engineering its global treasury operation with PMC’s support. As a part of this process, a new role was created to manage the treasury operations for the Western Hemisphere, and PMC was engaged to identify and pre-screen potential candidates.
- Leverage knowledge of the organisation to provide value added input into the creation of the job description
- Interview the Group Treasurer and treasury team to understand the cultural setting and personality traits that a successful candidate would need to have
- Create and manage postings on various treasury-specific and widely used job search tools
- Conduct two rounds of phone interviews with potential candidates during which individuals were assessed and ranked according to skills, experience and professional attributes, and presented a short list to client decision makers.
Results & Recommendations
We identified several candidates who possessed the right skills. The individual we ranked as being the strongest contender was selected to fill the position.
