Mark Bobek

With over twenty five years finance and treasury experience, the last ten of it in Asia, I have seen suppliers and customers entering into forex trades without an offsetting commercial transaction to match, in many cases speculating on a currency when they believed they were actually hedging. I have always believed that good corporate treasury management cannot be achieved without first understanding what true economic risks are. Knowledge that this view is strongly shared by PMC played a large part in my decision to join the company.

These are ‘interesting times’, nowhere more so than in Asia. Companies are competing for capital in the public and private markets, and managements are facing local and cross border treasury issues they have not seen before. PMC’s initiative in bringing independent, impartial and, importantly, practical corporate treasury advice is timely. The company’s experience of working with over 1,500 clients over the last twenty years, makes it uniquely placed to offer significant value to companies in the Asia Pacific region.
