Ken Slater

I specialise in providing hands-on support, usually in operational treasury roles. A number of my assignments have involved me in defining, setting-up and starting to run new treasury operations while assisting in the recruitment of a permanent treasurer. I believe in providing a ‘shirt-sleeved’ approach in implementing best practice treasury management solutions which are tailored to the clients’ business environment.

Many assignments have started with a review of recently acquired businesses to ascertain what treasury infrastructure is and, importantly, is not in place. On many occasions I have been asked to implement my recommendations in an interim treasury management role. While I have been Group Treasurer of a number of international companies, I am often called on by clients to do the basics as part of a small head office team as well as using my experience to advise on the more strategic issues.
