Job title: Director of Treasury
Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer

PMC Treasury is assisting one of our valued Private Equity clients, Clayton, Dubilier & Rice in their search for a Director of Treasury for their soon to be completed new investment, Carestream Dental.


POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Treasury will be a consummate financial professional who will responsible for setting and achieving operational goals surrounding cash and risk management, managing banking relationships, debt instruments, investments and administration of the annual insurance renewal. He/She will report directly to the CFO and will serve as a strategic partner to the organization’s executive leadership. More specific responsibilities for this role include:

  • Direct company-wide cash management activities consistent with liquidity needs for business operations, capital projects and acquisitions
  • Make recommendations and set strategy regarding cash management and other treasury issues
  • Maintain and evaluate cash system controls/procedures including netting, pooling, coordinating and managing a manual netting and pooling process
  • Oversee the administration of all intercompany loans
  • Develop policies and procedures related to all treasury activities
  • Oversee all treasury matters arising in the subsidiary companies, and interface with the company controllers
  • Ensure that the company deploys effective accounts receivable processes that minimize collections issues and supports working capital targets
  • Manage the day to day investment of surplus cash and the use of the revolving credit facility.
  • Coordinate debt repayment and interest settlements for all company debt, and oversee any hedging agreements in place
  • Work with subsidiary finance staff to coordinate local treasury activity including loans, working capital needs and other ad hoc items
  • Oversee all banking arrangements and ensure company-wide compliance with treasury policies
  • Manage insurance risk management program including identifying and addressing risks, optimizing insurance costs, renewals and reviewing premium payments
  • Recommend and assist in negotiation of banking arrangements including corporate credit facilities and private financing arrangements
  • Direct the development, implementation and ongoing enhancement of a corporate cash forecasting system to accurately predict the timing of cash requirements over appropriate time horizons.
  • Manage all debt facilities held by the company, including any draw, repayment, interest and reporting requirements
  • Monitor debt covenant compliance, and prepare related calculations and certificates, in accordance with debt agreements
  • Provide financial analyses, modeling, and recommendations for corporate finance projects (capital structure, debt, investments, etc)
  • Understand foreign exchange and interest rate exposure of the business and hedging of exposures, where appropriate
  • Other treasury related duties as determined by business needs
REQUIRED SKILLS

POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant Treasurer – Director of Treasury Operations will manage the North American Treasury Operations of the Company along with significant responsibility for Global Treasury processes.  This role will coordinate global Treasury processes with the Treasury Regional Managers including policies and controls and direct and lead implementation of treasury projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitor global cash position and borrowing/investment decision within guidelines.
  • Work with Corporate Tax to identify and implement dividend and cash repatriation opportunities to optimize subsidiary cash balances.
  • Project Leadership for global implementation of treasury management system.
  • Evaluate, develop and implement cash management systems to optimize efficiencies.

Job title: Operational Treasury Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY

The main roles of the Operational Treasury (‘OT’) Analyst are to:

  • Provide analytical and project delivery support for OT assignments
  • Assist with the preparation of marketing material

Job title: Operational Treasury Consultant
Reporting to: Head of Operational Treasury

POSITION SUMMARY

The Treasury Consultant will fulfil a role in the delivering of assignments to clients in a broad range of industry sectors (often portfolio companies of financial sponsors) in reviewing, establishing and managing treasury operations and recommending improvements. They will also have the opportunity to develop skills in supporting PMC’s marketing efforts, sales and business development.
The successful candidate will have outstanding communication and people management skills, and be adaptable to different situations and environments.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the planning and implementation of marketing and sales activity to enhance the reputation of PMC, to target and develop new client and financial sponsor relationships, and expand the services provided to existing clients.
  • Lead and manage the delivery of treasury consulting and interim management assignments in accordance with professional standards, working with other PMC consultants and client management teams as appropriate.
  • The scope of these assignments may include any aspect of treasury or related activities, including cash and liquidity management, optimizing working capital, managing bank relationships, debt and covenant management, financial risk management (including identifying and hedging interest rate, foreign exchange and commodity exposures), treasury management reporting, treasury organization, recruiting treasury personnel, and selecting & implementing treasury technology.
  • The consultant’s role will be to:
    o Support the review of treasury and related risks during the pre-acquisition due diligence phase of a financial sponsor transaction;
    o Define, establish and then be responsible for the interim management of treasury activities, including supporting the recruitment of permanent resources; and
    o Review, propose and implement policies and improvements to all or certain components of an existing treasury operation, leveraging best practices and addressing practical considerations.
  • The assignments may require the consultant to work with or under the supervision or guidance of other PMC consultants (either from the US or another PMC office), and/or
    report directly to the senior members of the financial sponsor deal team or ongoing management team (directly to the client CEO, CFO or other client personnel).
  • The consultant may also manage resources from the client, temporary or other consultant / vendor resources in delivering the engagements, in conjunction with banks and other client advisors.
  • Clients may have global operations located anywhere in the world and the consultant will be required to deliver as much as necessary of the assignment on-site at the client’s offices, but primarily in North America. When not at client locations, the consultant will work from PMC’s office in London, with occasional travel to other PMC offices.
EXPERIENCE
  • A first degree with honors in finance, business administration, economics, accounting or a related area. MCT and/or MBA, Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation preferred.
  • A significant number of years with responsibility for managing treasury in a senior role in the corporate sector, or comparable consulting experience.
  • Responsibility for identifying and implementing the strategic, operational, and personnel requirements for the treasury function of a corporation or division.

Job title: Marketing and Administration Coordinator
Reporting to: Group Operations Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

The role will work with the global marketing and operations team to deliver business objectives, including the implementation of internal marketing disciplines, creation of reports, event management and ad hoc projects. You will also provide comprehensive, efficient, professional and confidential business support to the team and oversee the day-2-day administration of the New York office.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Marketing Activities

  • Maintenance of CRM system – data cleansing, entry and compliance.
  • Support consultants with CRM and marketing discipline advice.
  • Organise external development training (Teach ins).
  • Coordinate the delivery of weekly market update via CRM.

The main roles of the Consultant will be to:

  • Manage and support risk management assignments.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Advise and support financial sponsors and/or investee companies in the definition and execution of appropriate interest rate and foreign exchange management strategies.

  • A first degree with honors in finance, business administration, economics, accounting or a related area. CPA and/or MBA, Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation preferred.
  • A significant number of years with responsibility for managing treasury in a senior role in the corporate sector, or comparable consulting experience.
  • Responsibility for identifying and implementing the strategic, operational, and personnel requirements for the treasury function of a corporation or division.
  • Experience preparing and presenting financial and business presentations to, as well as working directly with, boards of directors and executive management.
  • A working understanding of accounting and tax issues related to treasury management.
  • Knowledge of the financial sponsor sector desirable.

Job title: Risk Management Consultant
Reporting to: Head of Risk Management

POSITION SUMMARY

The main roles of the Consultant will be to:

  • Manage and support risk management assignments.
  • Take an active role in marketing PMC services to financial sponsors.
  • Where necessary, manage other PMC staff.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Advise and support our clients in the definition and execution of appropriate risk management strategies, which predominantly focus on interest rate and foreign exchange exposures.
  • Ensure that robust project proposals are offered, and subsequently delivered, in accordance with professional standards in order to meet agreed objectives.
  • Build new sources of business through methodical and systematic business development practices in the local financial sponsor market, making full use of the leverage offered by PMC’s existing relationships in Europe, the US and Asia.
  • Once a relationship is formed, the Consultant will be responsible for the maintenance and development of the relationship ensuring that PMC is the treasury advisor of choice for that financial sponsor.
  • Be a key participant to the continued development and growth of the global PMC business.
  • Work closely with the other consultants in the development of strategies, setting objectives, policies and plans, including identifying and targeting potential clients.
EXPERIENCE & CHARACTERISTICS
  • Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of experience, including hands-on responsibility for the development of interest and/or foreign exchange strategies.
  • Highly professional approach commensurate with successful presentations to financial sponsors and the senior management of operating companies.
  • Ability to understand the financial risks faced by a business in order to ensure the definition of an appropriate risk management strategy.
  • In-depth knowledge of different types of financial derivatives.
  • Familiarity with hedge accounting.
  • Experience acquired in the banking sector would be an advantage, although corporate treasury and/or consulting experience focused on risk management strategies is acceptable.
  • Entrepreneurial drive; a strong desire to grow the business and have direct impact on its success.
  • Self-motivated; possessing tenacity and having perseverance; a proven “closer”.
